The use of Building Information Modeling has been expanding world-wide in all segments of the construction industry. Since 2012, the North American masonry industry has made great advances in developing tools for architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers, etc., through the Building Information Modeling for Masonry Initiative (BIM-M). The Masonry Contractors Association of Alberta is presenting this seminar to provide an overview of BIM and BIM-M. It will introduce the latest tools and resources for architects, engineers and mason contractors that will make designing and constructing with masonry more efficient.

Speaker: Mr. Fred Kinateder is President of Kinateder Consulting, Brookfield, Wisconsin. Fred has over 40 years as a mason contractor. He is a past co-chair of the International Masonry Institute and President of ICE. He now serves as BIM-M’s Project Manager for contractors.
